If anyone tells you a long distance relationship does not work it is because they tried and it did not work for them or they don't know what they are talking about. Long distant relationships work if people make them work. The trick is to keep in contact with your partner, sort out whatever problems you are having, be honest and truthful. if you get a chance to see you partner then cherish the time you have with them, do things together and create memories. Send cards or e-mails when necessary. Don't let anyone discourage you from pursuing a long distance relationship if you want to because they really can work.

If you try and you both want it to work it can. I am in a long distance relationship right now and it's been almost two years and we are doing great. You just have to talk as much as possible and be very honest with each other. You also need to be able to trust each other. If you can do those three things you will be off to a great start because without that me and my bf wouldn't be as good as we are now. Hope I helped. Good Luck.

Is this person long distance from the beginning or have you been together and is now long distance? It makes a difference, if it's someone you met on line...it more than likely won't work! If you've been together for awhile and really know this person, you might have a chance but a slim one.

no constant contact other than by phone... only way to stay faithful is to be faithful to yourself, and thats by not ending it, but realizing that a long distance frierndship is easier than relationship, and if you ever become close again in geogrphical sense then pick up where u left off and make him/her get a divorce, lol

they don't work unless you have a very strong foundation of years spent together first, and even then, only if it's temporary - like for 6 months, and then you still have to visit at least once a month. It's really REALLY hard, and usually not worth the heartache.
