It is more blessed to give than to recieve. And also, as Christians we are to love everyone, even our enemies. We love all and care deeply for their soul's salvation. God loved us so much that he sent his only begotten Son. To be loved back in marvelous, but to love others is the Christian duty. Love never fails.

No. They are one in the same. To love and be loved in return is the ultimate blessing of GOD. To love one and not have it recognized by them is the ultimate hurt and pain. If it is so, the only answer I can get out of it, is it is a cross to bear for some reason that only GOD knows. Otherwise why would it be? It simply doesn't make sense to give so much and not have it returned. The worse part of it all is to be pitied for the true effort of it. It's a stabbing in the heart that goes deep into ones soul.
Peace and love to all........

Yes I do. To love is to give of yourself and to make the world a better place.

To be loved is to only get something for yourself. If you don't love in return, it returns evil for good.

Also, true love brings forth peace. Because love does not vaunt up, and is peaceful.

We are all loved first, by God Our Creator. In our dealings with all of humanity, I do believe that it is better to love than to be loved. This is part of the beautiful prayer of Saint Francis. "Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace, Where there is hatred, let me show Your love, where there is darkness, let me bring Your light. etc......" A beautiful prayer and definitely words to live by!!

To love is a blessing in itself... unconditional love doesn't ask for anything in return.

But, looking at real life, people truly pity those whose love is not returned, they consider you weak if you say that "it is better to love than to be loved". Repeated ignorance on the side of the person whom you love can ultimately throw you in pain and mental "injury", suffering..... so, let's be real, I would simply say:
"to love is just as important as to be loved and it is not healthy to prioritise between the two".
