Me and my boyfriend started goin out after my b-day and his b-day was comin up, is it right that I had to give him a gift on his b-day but since we werent goin out on my b-day I dont get a gift, now is that right?

"is that right"? Its just circumstance, what is he now oweing you a gift for all the years you guys weren't going out before, sh*t lets add them up from age 1 okay??!
Thats how it goes honey. Get over it. Its not FAIR. Whoopty. You sound so immature. So get him something according to how long you guys have been going out! Not anything big.
But realize that theres ALOT more important things than stupid gifts and if thats what you're tripping about now, I'm SORRY FOR YOU.

Gift giving is not about being "right" it is not about "do I HAVE to...."
It is about what you WANT to...it is from the heart....it doesn't even have to cost $$$$ It is something that you GIVE because you care...and it is all about how he responds to said gift that makes YOU FEEL GOOD...if you do not get that warm and fuzzy feeling...then keep your gifts to yourself...you do not OWE anyone a gift... that is why it is called a "gift"... :)

Haven't you ever heard the the saying its better to give than recieve? It doesn't matter that his birthday came after yours and that you weren't together on your b-day. In the future if you don't feel like you need to get someone a present then don't do it.

If you even have to ask this question, you shouldn't be his girlfriend. C'mon ... let's say the tables were turned and you started dating after HIS birthday and yours was coming up. I'm sure you'd be pitching a FIT if he didn't get you a gift!

Did he know about your birthday if he did and dint get you a gift after your birth day i wouldn't but if he dint know i would give him a gift.
