So, I wanted to get in the US Army but I can't.
The whole 3 days I spent in drill (when both and my recruiter thought I could get in) were some of the best days of my life.

What career paths / occupations / anything, out there could give me a similar experience?

You know... based on Leadership, Discipline, Respect, Honor, Integrity, Personal Courage...

*sigh / cry*

Couldn't get in because of poor eyesight.

My eyesight is correctable to 20/20, and I could not get the waiver approved.

Without knowing the reason why you couldn't get in, it is hard to recommend a career. Many other career paths that would give you a similar experience have similar entry requirements. That being said, you could become a police officer or a corrections officer. They have structured training and a military -like chain of command.

You'd think the Army would relax a few of it's incredibly high standards since enlistment is so far down, but they don't. Anything in public service, aka Firefighting, police officer, lifeguard, etc. should fill the hole. I know what you mean about *sigh/cry*, they wouldn't have me either. :^(. You might try the Marines or the Navy. Perhaps we could better answer the question if you told us why they didn't let you in.

Well i can tell you from experience that if it is correctable to 20/20 then you can get in. I got in and i am blind in one eye. The only condition was that i was able to pass BRM (being able to shoot). I learned to shoot with my left as opposed to my right and i did just fine. I have been in the army 8 years and so far so good.

Keep trying. Talk to another recruiter station, or write your congressman.

They just made it easier so try again with another service. If you were male I would tell you to join the legion.
