The reason we have war is very simple, it is a part of human nature. So it has been since the beginning of time, so shall it be until the end of time. The reasons why wars are fought is generally for one of 2 reasons, control of resources and terrirtories, or ideology (political, religious, etc.). There are not very many people in the world who relish war, and given a choice on an individual level most people would choose not to fight one, however they are never individual efforts. If you want to stop war you must first defeat human nature, because frankly we cannot get along with our neighbors and co-workers, much less the rest of the world, but if you find a way to accomplish this I am sure lots of people will join you in your efforts. Until then, you can either resign yourself to the inevitable, or drive yourself slowly insane trying to make sense of the senseless.

Well to answer your question not everyone has the money or the resource to stop the war thats going on. Its alot of money and politics involved and if your a nobody what can you really do. Yea you can have a couple of protest and a few may join in but in the long run everything that you've try to do will just fade in the wind.

We're trying our damnedest to stop the war someone waged against us. The problem is not only the terrorists, but a lot of American folks who perpetuate the war by making the terrorists believe that they're in the right!
The war could end immediately if the terrorists would stop blowing-up people and things. Pretty simple, huh?

This question is worded wrong.
Not everyone hates the war.
That's your real question.
Does everyone hate the war?
No.
Or is your question.........
what can we do to end war?
We have to all want war to end, then it will.
People do not ever die for nothing.
You should not speak like that, it's not true.
What can you do?
Many things.
Besides asking questions on yahoo.
Start by praying.
War cannot be ended through hate.
Spend some serious time thinking about that.
Channel your energy in a positive way!!

How would you go about stopping it? At the end of the day we are supposed to live in a democracy and yet our government doesn't listen to us. There is no way to stop the government doing what it wants, the only thing we can do is learn from it and avoid letting them back into power again.

It's true. People are dying for nothing. 63% of Americans are agaist the war in Iraq. Yet it still goes on. The USA should be so ashamed.

Yes, people are dying for nothing but some people believe this is right (I have no idea why, but they do) and these people have minds so small there is NO possible way of changing them.
We can only hope in their next life maybe they'll evolve ;)

You have to remember that all those in control who could help stop the wars are in fact making a lot of money from it. Sad yet true

How to explain a simple concept???????
The absolute best way to stop a war is to force the other side into unconditional surrender.
When they lose their ability and desire to wage war, they begin to consider real peace as an option.
