Yes, but the fruiting quince is sweeter.

Mostly used for jelly and pie, here's a recipe:

I think it depends on the variety - but yes, I can remember eating jamm made from ornamental quince.

My mom was into that sort of thing, but I've never experimented...I guess they don't taste nice raw - have you tried?

My view is, life is too short for that kind of thing. I buy my jam in Sainsburys!!!

But if you ARE into it - good luck. Let me know how it tastes and I might even try it!

I believe they are. Used to eat them from the garden as a child and it didn't do me any harm. They don't taste too good though. Better to make them into something.

Yes but they are incredibally sour. You can make jelly from them.
