In some contexts, 'whichever' would be more appropriate. 'Whatever' is more appropriate for a large or unlimited number of choices, 'whichever' for a small or finite number.

So, upon moving in together, and referring to bread choices for the next 10 years:
"I'll eat whatever bread you buy"

In response to 'do you prefer wonder or Dempsters bread?'
"I'll eat whichever bread you buy"
