You are focussing on all the negatives of Islam. I'm an atheist but from the way you are speaking i would guess your christian. Don't make the mistake of thinking christians haven't killed anyone for believing different things. Bush went to after he said god told him to. And he has been quoted since saying god told him to destroy the evil in the middle east. So much for love thy neighbour huh?

Pretty much everything that you listed as extremism can be traced back to the Old Testament. The early Christian movements were very violent kill or be killed times. I think the Muslim belief system is rooted in a similar manner only they don't have the New Testament "voice of reason, Jesus" that Christianity has. It's much more of a "back to the basics" type of religion.
This is all they know and have ever been taught. They see Americans breaking every single moral belief that the Muslims stand against. This is the propaganda that the Muslims are using to fuel the resistance against the US troops and their agenda to democracise the Middle East.
As far a Liberals loving the Middle East, it's not like that. Liberals want to pull out of this war because our Republican government does not understand Middle Eastern culture enough to convert them to democracy. This will never happen! There are too many deep-rooted religious beliefs in Muslim culture to ever accept a takeover from the US. That is why Iraq is in the midst of civil war.
There are some that support the US removing Saddam and the rest are the ones causing all of the trouble and much like any believer from the Christian Old Testament, they are willing to die for the cause. This cannot be stopped. These beliefs are too influential for a democracy.
Iraq is better run as a dictatorship. As in their belief system, they are used to being told what is right and wrong as opposed to figuring out things for themselves. The US is way too easy going to run the Middle East. We just aren’t cut out to hold a sword to the throat of our oppressors and demand justice. We prefer to discuss and do things a little more peaceful. You didn’t see the South Carolina government go after Washington when they were asked to change their state flag because it represented hate. If this had taken place in the Middle East, there would have been some swords to some necks. Believe it!
As you were saying about Muslims having low intelligence, bull***t. The same could be said about Baptists in this country. They believe in an older "back to the basics" form of Christianity based largely on the Old Testament and when it comes to life after death, there is no limit to what these people will do to defend their beliefs. Especially if it means that they are going to spend eternity in torment. It's not lack of intelligence; it's a tyrannical religion that is brainwashing masses of people into fighting for their lives and dying for nothing. When you reach out and give the answers to life and guarantee eternal life after death, who wouldn’t want to fight and die for that if that was all that he/she knows? Try converting a Christian to Buddhism or Hindi; you’ll see what I mean. There is no greater power or control than fear and that is what religion in all aspects thrives in. Fear in order to control. And, it can’t get any easier to create that fear when they use the one thing that most fear most, death and life after death. Think about it! It’s not stupidity, it’s fear.
If you want to know what will save the Middle East and stop this war, look to sanctions. Most of the whole Israel, Iran war is about "the Holy Land". I say, divide the Holy Land into sanctions. Let the Muslims have their part, Jews have theirs, and Christians can have their sanction. There, problem solved. Now get the hell out of there!
BTW, you couldn’t even fathom the number of innocent people killed in the mighty name of Christianity throughout history, so don’t shame on anyone until you’ve done a little homework on you own intelligence. Muslims aren’t the only problem, all religion is the problem!

First, you should separate Islam from Muslim.
Muslim is the following of the teachings of Muhammad, one of God's messengers. His teachings are not really that different from what can be found in the Christian Bible. Just like the Bible, there are versus that can be taken out of context, and used improperly to solicit violence against other people.
Christianity also has it's share of historical violence against people in the name of God. But not because of the religion, but because of those who use the religion for political power.
That's where Islam comes in. Islam is a political party, which is hell bent on taking over the world.
Now you better understand why America's fore fathers included the separation of church and state in the USA Constitution. Of course, in their day, it was the Christians that were trying to take over the world.
BTW, I'm neither really religious, nor atheist.

Well you gotta hand it to the Muslims, at least they actually follow their religion.
Christians are required to stone their neighbors if they catch them working on the Sabbath, but when was the last time you saw a Christian stoning?
Try reading Deuteronomy once in a while, it's filled with everything you criticize Muslims for.

You, sir, are an idiot.
I'm liberal. I don't support violent extremists in the least. Stop twisting words around.
I'm fine with peaceful muslims practicing their religion. If someone is not peaceful, no matter what the religion, I'm against them.
I'm not supportive of "becoming a monster so the monster will not break you". (stooping to the level of someone you object to). There are more civil ways of handling things instead of having Americans kill tens of thousands of (innocent) people. We have become almost as bad as the extremists.

to tell you truth there bible the "Koran"(sorry if i spelt it wrong) goes against all those thing you stated like hatred and violence and such like, it is only the extremist that take it over the edge and read what they want to read and don't read the whole book, remember its not just Islamic people every culture in the world has it's idiots, like the English soccer hoons or the Nazi skin heads or the Catholic priest paedophiles(i hate these ones), it doesn't matter where you are from , people from all over the world have these idiots to deal with , unfortunately religion, has the most , so don't be to quick to judge one culture over another, remember there could be a child sex offender living down the street(please shoot these ones)or a mass murder sharing your building( please if you know any-mass murderers tell them where the child sex idiots are please)

Islam is a religion is disguise. On one side they are professing and propagating that they are the best and on the other side they are practicing cruelty and extremism. There is a third group within their religion who keep on denying that we have no share in the happenings. combine these three and it is Islam today.
In all other matters what you state, they have this type of multifaceted characters.

its not islam really that promotes such behavior - its a religious totalitarian government.
remember, christian women were treated like sh!t too when the church was in charge. and the church sent people to kill innocent muslims (crusades) and were pretty much backwards.
i think muslim crazies need to grow up a little, have some revolution, and then things will be ok.
also, on some level i do like the fact that muslim women cover their whole bodies. i would LOVE for a man to judge me by how i spoke and how intelligent i was, not for my @ss or boobs.
