A pint of water weighs a pound. But once you drink "excessive water" your body eliminates it right back out again by sweating, and other methods. Dehydration will cause you to lose weight, but you build up toxic waste in your system if you dehydrate. Water is needed to keep the toxic waste washed out, so keep drinking pure water. Toxic waste, if not flushed out is stored by body fat. Drinking cold water actually burns calories since your body has to warm the water up to body tempurature.

The only thing that drinking a lot of water will do to your weight is lower it. When people have "water weight", it is from things like high blood pressure. Water retention can cause weight gain, but that cannot be caused by drinking water. In fact, not drinking enough water can make it harder to lose weight.

If you're on the pill your doctor can have you take a water pill. Stay away from salt as salt makes your body retain the water.

It's false. You actually retain water the more dehydrated you are. If you are adequately hydrated, your body won't retain as much.

I'm not sure what you mean by excessive though. No one wants to do anything to the point of being excessive!
