I'm an African-American boxer and ever since i was 12 i always wanted to be champion. Now i'm 15 and i alway wanted to be greater than my idol Muhammad Ali. I've had a stong beleif i can. But when i watch things about him i think this is an impossible feet! Sometimes i dought myself. Do you think anything is possible? Even though you havn't seen me box.

an illustrious and admirable goal, but i echo the previous sentiments. don't try to be better than anyone, just try to be the best you can be. use ali as an inspiration as he used jack johnson and sugar ray robinson, before him. learn from those who came before you and dedicate yourself the way he/they did. an unshakeable belief in self and hard work and natural God-given talent will take you to success, whatever field of endeavor you choose...don't limit yourself to boxing. like ali, live your life, as you live your career, by the highest standards, and pray everyday...the rest will come, when your time is at hand~

the answer we would all like is yes work hard and you can achieve anything but the truth is in sports you have to have talent or natural ability, your physical size & stature also may dictate how good you can be, think about this, I believe it was the sports writer Jim Murray that said "god created 2 perfect male bodies, Jim Brown is one and Ali is the other" who among us can match that?

why would you want to be better than ali?
Im a musician and that's if i asked that i wanted to be better than John Lennon, or David Bowie, or Beethoven.
Dont try to be better than anyone, box the best you can; be humble about it, remember where you come from.. but dont try to be better than ANYONE, that will just mess you over.
To be better than ALI, that requires serious talent; some people are born, others are made.
In you case, be the best YOU can be, not better than anything or ali.

Don't worry about being better than someone else. Be the best you can be. It's great to have hero's but they are not you and you are not them. If you have a dream.....go for it!!! Nothing is impossible if you want it bad enough. Good Luck!!!!

You have to remember one thing, a GIANT thing that made him the Greaest was who he was outside of the ring. He stood up for everything he believed in no matter how unpopular it was, or at any cost to himself, i.e. taking his title, banishing him from boxing, all of the death threats etc..
