Ill get off the bus just before that day....

"When the Christian majority takes over this country, there will be no satanic churches, no more free distribution of pornography, no more talk of rights for homosexuals. After the Christian majority takes control, pluralism will be seen as immoral and evil and the state will not permit anybody the right to practice evil."

--Gary Potter, president of Catholics for Christian Political Action

Sounds like a trip back to the 1600s to me...who here wants our women to wear those lockable crotch devices once again?

Fortunately China will preemptively nuke us shortly after crazy Christians take control. It will be a mercy nuking.

What the Bible-thumpers don't understand is that the clause regarding religion was put in the First Amendment primarily to protect the freedom of religion. Many of the founders of this country came here to escape religious persecution in the form of state religions being forced on them by monarchs. It would be bad for everyone, especially Christians, if our government enforced religion on us any more than it already has. For example, I'm a Protestant, and I would resent being forced to accept Catholic views with which I don't agree. I'm sure everyone of any denomination can think of other denominations with conflicting ideas. The whole point of freedom of religion is to be able to choose how to worship, and we can't do that if the government takes away that option to choose.

I don't see how anyone can read the first amendment and not see that freedom of religion is the same thing as separation of church and state. It says, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." In other words, when it comes to religion the government can't tell you what to believe or what not to believe. If we lose that separation and the government starts preaching religion, or worse yet legislating religion, the freedom is gone because you no longer have a choice. That's why religion must always be kept separate from the government. If the religious fanatics ever succeed in their plan to take over the government, I'll leave the country.

Yeah, I'll be moving to another country if this happens. If you start limiting one thing just because a few people don't like it, what else will follow? One guy doesn't like chocolate, so no more chocolate? No more sports, because they're too violent?

Personally, I really don't like sports. I don't get it, I think the competition is silly, I truly don't enjoy it. Guess what? It's my CHOICE not to go to sporting events or watch them on tv.

If Christians don't like pornography or homosexuality, they don't have to look at porn or sleep with anyone of the same sex.

Save us! This country is really going down. All the European and Asian countries are laughing at us as our citizens go around preaching that Chrisitans should take over the country and act like Tibet did many years ago.
