Ok, I don't know what to do. I've been seeing this guys for a little over 4 months now and I really care a lot about him. Well he drinks a lot and I told him that he was going to lose me over it. Well one night he was drinking and went to get more and I left because I didn't want to be around it. Well we spkit for a few days. We are back together now, but he is acting really different now. He's being real distant. Should I just call it quits?

If you are wondering if you should call it quits you probably should. If he drinks to much now it will only get worse, If he cleans up in the future go for it. You can't help someone with and addiction they have to start to help themselves first.

You are headed down a dangerous road. When a man drinks like that nothing is more important to him than that drink. Trust me, I was there for years. No one could make me see the paoblem that I refused to believe was there. I lost friends and girlfriends until I got a DUI. That is what turned me around, when I realized how outta control I was. i wasn't the wake up and grab a bottle from my nightstand type. Just the go out every night type. If I didn't go out I grabbed some on the way home. Social drinker gone wrong. So be cautious of your safety and know that you will never be able to do anything to fix it only he can, and don't be afraid to move on.

You've given him the chance to hear you out. You already broke up with him. Now that you are back in each other's arms, he will think that you love him too much to just lose him because of his drinking.
Now that he is acting distant, there should be more reasons for leaving him. There are a lot of guys around who knows for a fact that too much drinking can kill you!

This one sounds like a too hard basket to me, if you stay with him I'd say life is gonna be not so happy 4 u! When a guy truly loves his woman and a change is needed for the sake of relationship, then that change is never a problem to do, because that love bond is worth it. Is that with this guy for you or not? Strong rational thinking on your part is needed here, follow what you already know what to do. All the best.

I dated an alcoholic before and I swore I'd never do it again. They can't love you and care about you when they don't care enough about themsleves to not drink themsleves into a hole. He needs to be in recovery but it won't be BECAUSE OF YOU, it needs to be FOR HIMSELF. So, just let him go. It will save you alot of heartache. If he fixes himself at some point he might come back, than give him another chance. But without being in recovery, this is going to be like dating a child.

The early part of any relationship is the best time to get things in order. If this a problem to you at this point in your relationship, then you need to move on. Your feelings are not that deep yet that you can't back out now. You can't change someone who don't want to change themselves.

You bet. You have nooooo idea what it is like to be married to an alcoholic, and he is different, because he is juggling around in his mind of how to try to keep you and still drink. Honey, there are nice guys out there that do not drink. Alcoholism is very difficult to treat -- it can ruin your life, your family, your job prospeacts. 4 months in no time at all.. Loose him.

Dont leave a guy cause he drinks unless of couse he turns into satan after a couple cocktails. If hes pleasant and is just having a good time let it be, dont try to be his mother cause it aint gonna work. everyone needs to be there own person and if you dont like that person then move on to the next ...

call it quits hes probly trying to make you feel like you did somthing roung by leaving but you have the right to be or not to be around a drunk drinkers whith a problem alwas put the blame on anybody and everybody else so thay can avoid responsability for there acts if you whant a non drinker find one you have to respect your self first

He's acting different because he's hiding the booze from you and how much he wants it. My ex used to smoke dope, asked him to quit, he said he did, and was doing it behind my back, he got really distant too. What an idiot he was, I would smell it on him and he'd say oh yeah my friends were smoking it in the truck but i wasn't. So I'd give him a kiss and taste it , and i would say what they held you down and blew it in your mouth too idiot, jeez, needless to say he's my ex. Leave him, you can get better believe me.
