The guy I dated in high school just committed suicide in a garage w/ a running car. His Grandma who raised him (his parents died in a wreck when he was 12) told me that he killed himself due to the stigma of what happenned to him in college. He had a mental breakdown & was hospitalized for 3 days. In his suicide note, aside from his gratefulness to his Grandma, he spoke how noone would give him a chance once they found out his dirty secret. Girls who liked him & he dated for 6 months; the minute they found out he had a mental breakdown in college fr bipolar 9 yrs ago, they would abandon him & talk about him & his dirty secret w/ their friends. He tried telling people in the beginning & they wouldnt even go on a second date w/ him. And this was the nicest guy I ever met. No outbursts, no mean bone in his body. He said why should he be alive if people treat him as a stigmatized guy to be shamed & disgraced. After reading the net & Yahoo Answers w/ filthy spew fr evil it doesnt suprise me

People are rude and nasty because they don't know what he could do...if you really think about it, they would have been putting themselves in a potentially dangerous situation by dating or living with him. Bipolar people need medical attention and a certain kind of pill to quell the range of their emotions.

What happened to your friend is dreadful. I suppose that's why I take so long to tell people that I've had a nervous breakdown and have tried to commit suicide several times. I think maybe he was too trusting, or they where just nasty pieces of work. I feel for your loss. People are morons and there should be more done to show people the effects of mental health and how people aren't a danger to society etc etc. Not enough is being down by any governing body to help people with mental health problems.

Menno above, the second girl above, is a perfect reason why he died. This sociopath is the epitome of what Stigma is. She is a beyond hope, demonic whackjob like most elitist women in this sick land.

Menno Girl is the type of very sick, evil woman that permeates our society. She is an ignorant that knows nothing about these men or people. They are no more apt to be violent than the general segment of society and it has been studied repeatedly. There are violent people without any misfortunes and violent people with them. Its like anything else.

The reason your old boyfriend is dead ABSOLUTELY IS because of women like the second answerer above. It was not only his responsibity. The selfish, vicious, evil creeps caused it, and will never take responsibility for their Stalinist death and misery causing ways.

Of course these guys are alone. Look at Menno Girl. I'm sure he saw a place with more peace than living around sewage like her. Who the hell could blame the guy. Just look. Its right there. And may my eyes be taken from me if I have any relationship or knowledge of who this Menno Girl is. She is a psychopath.

The diseased girl then quotes Web MD as her "source" for her prejudice and cruel, Devil like hate. That should tell you everything. Honey, her parents were dirt just like her, and brought her up to be the filth that she is. They are everywhere. In a recent poll, 68% were just like her.

The answerer above is the type of woman that is similar to Eva who dated Hitler, and the type of women that date and marry the worst corporate executives that have ever lived, and hurt us every day. Pure darkness. She should work for a murdering, corrupt company. She would be ideal.

The only good news, is scum like her is dead forever when she passes away, and Meeno Girl, and all the American women lik her, are going to get back their Fascist, destructive things ten times over. I will bet the permanent loss of my soul on it. If not, there is no reason to believe in the existence of any God. Why would we be here. There would be no purpose.

I can understand why people become Atheists after reading things like Menno Girls comment above.

People can be really cruel, but not everyone. Many are afraid of what they don't understand. They hear the word bi-polar and they think mass murderer or something like that. If people would take the time to study the definition of what it means to be bi-polar instead of making assumptions then things would be different. I am very sorry your friend committed suicide. And yes, people on this website can be very cruel, and even very, very ignorant at times, but I also see nice people on this website.

I am so sorry to hear this. The pain you must be feeling must be unbearable. My condolences.

It's true, people can be cruel, and I know how tempting it is to blame them, but sadly, this person needed serious help. He obviously was hurting very badly. Even the kindest of persons might have unknowingly said the wrong thing.

The man needed TLC. It's very sad he didn't give himself the chance to get help and heal.

I think sometimes that people are afraid of what they don't understand. Therefore it makes them uncomfortable to be around it and a lot of people, when they are afraid, act out in meanness.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's too bad that he was not able to hang in there just one more day for someone to help him.

Part of what he was feeling was the deep dark depression of the illness...an unfortunately, he did not have good luck with people he intertwined with...he could have been using the excuse that people were evil and wanted to die anyway...his illness caused the suicide...there are many mean people in the world, because of their ignorance of the illness and the reluctance to learn about it...but you were his girlfriend, and so obviously, he has kindness in his life...so it kind a shows you, that even with someone kind like you in his life, his illness caused him to dwell on the depressive side and ergo the suicide...I have to think that there is nothing you could have done to prevent it..sadly...but very sad for your loss...

First off I feel for your pain & confusion.. in what you 1st hand experienced and at the larger picture, the contion of some peoples souls. I think people have good & bad in them , Thank God for God to show us how to let our Light rule us , not the darkness. Take some peace in knowing your friend is at peace and surrounded in TRUE LOVE and JOY. Iknow its hard at times. But have faith in that TRUTH, and it will further enlighten YOU. You're on the right path...already. Be brave. Good people

Suicide is a mental condition. I am sorry he had so many bad people around him but there are alot worse conditions that people live through. Suicide can't be blamed on other people. He made the choice himself. I am sorry for your friend, but the truth is the truth. My sister is bipolar too. No one is responsible for someone elses happiness. It isn't fair to blame the rest of the world for the choice of one person.
