It's not too late to do something special for her. Just the fact that you're not drinking anymore is a good thing for your mother. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and make it up to her by bringing her someplace special and announcing to the world that she is the greatest mom ever!

She is your mother and b-days are not important go take her out to a spa girls only and enjoy.
Treat your mother like a jewel...coz heaven lays under your mothers feet...
She loves you always, you must never feel that way ok.
Go and smile..and look after your mother and send her money every month...she would know that ur one of her favorite daugthers...that always loved her and she would always depend on you.
Good luck.

If it was me, I would feel guilty for not remembering it. But to make up for it, I would do something special. Not Materialistically, but something that will make her forget that you forgot her Birthday.

Quit beating up on yourself. We all make mistakes. You apologized and I am sure will do something nice for her. What more can be asked of you? It is past and can not be changed. Move on.

She may have been dissapointed, but showing her how much you care today, by doing more than you normally would would show her your true feelings.
