How do you treat an infected taste bud? It is right on the end of my tounge and very painful.?

Ask your dentist to take a look. You may need an antibiotic. I suggest your dentist instead of your regular doctor, because you might jus thave a sharp corner on one of your teeth that has caused an irritation and the dentist can polish it down in two seconds.

That hurts I know. Put some salt on it. Salt heals so quickly. You can use oragel until it is better to numb it too

just maintain good oral hygiene and it should go away within a few days :)
