If you have the money definitly Manhatten because its the best location, best resturants, nightlife, schools, everything is there.
My second guess would be Brooklyn, its really turning into a 'hot spot'. And its the best shopping ive ever expirenced. There is some good schools there too, (Brooklyn Friends, Poly Prep) and there are really nice neighborhoods as well. Good luckkkkk.

Me personally, I would move to Staten Island. It has room to breathe & this cool thing called grass. Also, there's a free ferry that goes into the city, which is amazing. Manhattan is great if you have money for an apt or if you know somebody, I don't so it would be pretty expensive for me to live there, also, I like to have a nice size apt, not a single dorm room for $1900 a month (Cousin lived in Financial district). I couldn't live in Brooklyn, that place is a powderkeg (Most populated borough) with their prices increasing regularly making it harder to live there unless you live in a crime-ridden area or a tiny room (Again, friend lived in Railroad apt waaayyy too small) That leaves Bronx & Queens, which out of the two, probably queens, Bronx, is good, but you have to move really far away from South Bronx & by that time, the prices have again increased & to make matter worse, you're pretty far away from Manhattan. Or you could live in South Bronx ... I'd rather not.
So the two I would go for due to price & availability is Queens & Staten island, preferable close to the ferry or for Queens near the Elmhurst/Greenpoint area. But if you don't mind the small space & want action, definitely move to Manhattan.

park slope is the "gayest" zip code in new york.(no longer making that up) has the main gays interior the 5 boroughs so if thats what floats your boat so be it. it is likewise very high priced to stay there except you wanna stay in a room seperated by utilising a bedsheet with somebody you do no longer understand. it is likewise very white and liberal. it rather relies upon on what you like.
