Standard Gauge... you have several posibilities:

From Guatemala-Mexico border to Churchill or other far away branch in Canada.
From Sicilia island to Narvik in Norway.
From Perth to Brisbane (Australia)
From Russian border to Lasha (China).

The USA has the most mileage of rail road infrastructure on the planet and, except for some tourist rail roads, all of the track is continuously connected standard gage. I think the total is in the 23,000 + mile range, but that's actually a guess.

It was once possible to travel over 9,000 miles from Paris, France to Pusan, South Korea all by rail. I believe there were break-of-gauge crossings during that trip.

In 1950, the rail link was severed at the 38th parallel.

Technically, Pyongyang-to-Moscow IS the longest possible rail trip at present, if you accept the break-of-gauge at the borders. Kim Jong-Il traveled this 24-day long trip in 2001 in an armored train.

trans sibirean railway, this is some 10,000kms, this is the longest rail journey with out changing trains, moscow - vladivostock

though if you travelled from the south of portugal to moscow then picked this train up it would be a significantly greater distance.
