my mum has only the really old mesureing scale that is in ounces.i need to know what 40grammes is in ounces.i know that 25g is 1oz and that 50g is 2oz.(i hope i have spelt ounces right)

1oz is 28.54gms therefore 40 gms is 40 divided by 28.54 which is 1.4oz.

27 grams in an ounce so 40 grams is just under an ounce and a half.
