Wait until you've gotten to know the puppies a little bit. Their personalities will help you decide on names for them. Right now, they're just getting used to being in the world!

Try picking a theme. When my dog had puppies we named them all spring names like buttercup, April, and Lili. Also get to know them and see if a name just pops into your head that seems perfect for each individual puppy.

What about any of these - Meg, Bess, Jasper, Angel, Xsara, Amber?

Choosing a short & snappy name ought to help when it comes to training and getting the puppies to learn their names.

Pat. As in pat the dog.
or Puss. "Here Puss", really confuse them tho'....
My dog's name is Cooper, she's a great dog. I want her to have puppies so that she can be a mother, but we'll only be able to keep one, so naming them isn't really up to us, it's up to the loving homes that they're gonna go to.

As people have mentioned, it's best to wait until you can see a bit of their characters. It also depends if they're male or female & also what breed they are.

I have a Boxer puppy & we call him Rukus. It suits him very well. Before him, we had a pitty & we called her Precious because she was so timid & affectionate.
