OK, Luke 2:14 says, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, good will towards men."

Acts 10:36 says, "The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all)

In Matthew 10:34 Jesus says, "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth, I am not come to send peace, but a sword."

Revelation 19:11 says, "And I saw heaven opened [this is Saint John speaking of his vision] and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon it was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war."

These verses seem to contradict each other. In reality, it's all true. The Bible does that a lot. Two things can be true at the same time.

For example, Luke 2:52 says "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man."
The Bible says, "When your ways please the Lord, even your enemies will be at peace with you."

This implies that living the Christian life will make people like you.

Matthew 5:11-12 says, "Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you."

You know what? Both are true! People will love you and hate you if you walk with God.

I think God tells us good things, but because we live in this world, He chooses to be quite realistic at times, and tell us the truth.

There are 13 technically but the Levites are the Priest tribe so they didn't get an inheritance. The tribe of Joseph was split into 2 tribes: Mannasah and I can't think of the other right now.

Jesus was raised as the son of Joseph and Joseph acknowledged Jesus as his son even though, genetically he is Gods son.

Peace is a harder issue and I have housework to do.

There is a lot to cover. Let me answer a couple. I was curious about the tribe thing... There were 1/2 tribes. This would really need to be answered by a Jewish person. But sometimes some were considered dead because of what they had done.
The Bible can be summed up With Love God with all of your heart and love your neighbor as yourself. ( e mail me Q's and I will see if I can answer them).

God’s unique objective for marriage is His very last determination (Gen.a million:27, 2:18-25). at the same time as God created an important different for Adam He created Eve - not yet another Adam. which means appropriate partnership calls for some aspect of huge difference besides as a aspect of similarity so tremendous that Adam ought to cry out loudly, "it is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh". Sexual intimacy between a guy and a lady is the traditional mind-set to male/lady bonding (emotionally and bodily) because it corresponds to the layout of our bodies and considering the fact that that's the traditional means by technique of which offspring are created. at the same time as Jesus became requested questions about marriage he went immediately back to the defining passages in Genesis that say that marriage is between male and woman and is meant to be existence lengthy. He pronounced the advent debts in Genesis as authoritative in His day. and what's authoritative for Jesus is authoritative for Christians also. at the same time as Jesus did not particularly practice on homosexuality, His institution of the Genesis passages because the mandatory passages on marriage (even more effective basic than the regulation) leaves little question as to the end result. Romans a million:26-27 , a million Corinthians 6:9-10, and a million Timothy a million:9-10 are references aspect out that gay passions and acts are unnatural, shameful, opposite to sound doctrine and deny the front to the dominion of God. This being so that they could't be the idea of a Christian marriage sanctioned by technique of God's Church. No marriage should be sanctioned by technique of the Church if the very foundation of the marriage includes acts that placed the couple outdoors of eternal salvation. Elder Greg (((SFCU)))
