Medicines for fatigue and depression usually take about 30 days or more to be effective and even longer for the person taking the medicine to notice changes.

Be patient.

wellbutrin has a build up time as you take it, this means you have to take it for a period of time( up to 4 weeks) before you see full benefit, it also means you should ask the doctor before you stop as you may need to taper off of it. It is best if you take your dosages at the same time daily. If your symptoms seem to be worse then call back to the doctor. If you have been taking this med regularly and for a period of time and feel you are getting no benefit you should check with your doctor and see in a dosage or medication change is indicated. You can find more information you may find useful on sites like web MD or PDRHealth. Good luck.

Many medications can be used to treat depression. Between your doctor and you, you need to decide which is the best for you. Wellbutrin comes in different strengths so you may need to up the dose or maybe just try a different drug. There are others such as paxil, zoloft, zyban that treat depression and provigil and ritalin can help with fatigue. Your doctor probably wanted to try a medication that can help with both depression and fatigue. It may not work for you but discuss other things that you can do.

Wellbutrin is an antidepressant and doesn't work for everyone unfortunately i recommend that you rebook an appointment to see your gp asap and inform him that this medication is not working for you he may increase the dosage or try you on another antidepressant. Unfortunately antidepressants are not the wonder drug everyone expects them to be they only ease depression they are not happy pills which a lot of people expect them to be.Your doctor should also have referred you to a counsellor whilst taking them to get to the route of why you are feeling so depressed and also given you some blood tests to check you have no physical illness that is causing you to become unnecessarily tired. Hope this helps some.

Sometimes it's difficult to find the right medication for depression and or fatigue. I've been having trouble finding the best medicine for OCD. It does take awhile for the medicine to work, so I'd give it a little more time and check with your doctor the next time you have an appointment. =) Feel better soon.

it takes at least a good thirty days for wellbutrin to be affective as an antidepressent. Just hang in there a while and see how it works for you. If you don't think its helping tell you doctor and he can prescribe something else for you to try.

Anti depressants are designed to help you cope with a problem until you take the steps to correct it.. It still remains up to you to create those changes. The meds won't make you do that.

Depression will cause enough chemical changes, to bring about fatigue. It would appear to be more effecacious to determine what you are depressing about. Then work from that angle to reverse it.

Everyone reacts differently to the various anti-depressants. It usually takes 4 - 6 weeks to start noticing a difference no matter which one you are taking. Be patient and don't stop taking your med's before talking with your doctor.

Wellbutrin was poisionous garbage and a waste of time for me. It undid a lot of the good progress I was trying to achieve. Go back to your doc. Talk about with him/her, and get a new drug.
