Because you can't get Federal Grants anymore. If you can afford it then go ahead but there's nothing wrong with scholarships. In undergraduate studies you get grants each year. they don't give them for further education.

Everyone does not need a scholarship to do a masters degree. I completed mine in 3 years while working a full time job. I would suggest that if finances are the problem you should definitely look into scholarships and other forms of assistance (maybe a border student waiver or any other waiver) to reduce the fees. The fees are expensive but in the end it will pay off.

Scholarships is away of entry into an educational institute to be enable to study and complete their qualification/degree. As were you need to have completed other degree's in-order to be able to study for your Masters..

so , its not a valid question in a way,,, no offense.... I did have a scholarship for my 1st one.... but that was (Luck) ...... lol

Graduate school is typically (possibly always) more expensive than undergraduate schooling. People get scholarships so they don't have to take out student loans.

All arenot rich..A person who is very good in studies can not persue his studies due to lack of money,So some students arte given a scholorship to enable him achieve higher studies .
