No, Islam doesn't’t believe in Jesus. Islam claims Jesus as a prophet like all other prophets that had come before him. But that is not what Christians believe. Followers of Christ believe that Christ is the son of God who came into the world to save the world by offering his pure sinless body a sacrifice for man's sin. We know that death entered into the world by Adam because he sinned against God and as per God’s Law, the wages of sin is death. Why would God select this way for Christ birth into the world? Is not that so obvious? If Jesus was an ordinary prophet and not the end of all revelations from God, why would He bother coming to the world in pure body worthy for only a one time sacrifice for sin. The Koran denies that Christ was crucified for a sacrifice. Christ was a born this way and without sin so that He can redeem mankind by offering his pure blood as sacrifice for the sins of Adam. When you deny that Christ was crucified and His blood was shed for that purpose, then you erase the Christianity concept of forgiveness and grace of God and render the Bible to be of no use what so ever. The Koran however, and in some verses admits that Christ is the word of God and His Spirit. But in another verses the Koran abolish these verses by others and claim that God has sent new verses that invalidated or replaced the the previous ones. So the older verses become invalid. If Christ didn't die on the cross, there is no salvation for mankind. If Christ didn't resurrect, then their is no righteousness to believers in Christ. If Christ didn't ascend to heaven and given every power in the Universe, then there is no hope in His return to rule the Earth.

yes, Jesus said that 'if you see me, you see the Father" when he was asked to show them the Father (God). Muslims believe that Jesus was only a prophet, and was replaced by Muhammed, who is equal or greater than Jesus now. Christians believe that Jesus is God Incarnate. There is a significant difference. Jesus is the only one who teaches Merciful Love, to the extent that He does... He said He gives us now but one comandment, to love each other as He loved us,,, and that means mercifully and sacrificially. Jesus died for us, which Muslims don't believe. He said to love our enemies, which Muslims don't believe, forgiving 70 x 7.
Now it is true that there are many Muslims who are not following the faith and giving bad example to the world, and the same with many people who call themselves Christians. They are killing each other.
I read an article posted by a Muslim about predictions of what will happen in the last days, and what they think Jesus will do when he comes back... kill infidels. Our ideas about that are different.
We will see, won't we, when the time comes.

Er, you reckon Jesus is going to return? I'm sure that when I did Religious Studies at school we were taught that Muslims believed Jesus was a prophet. As such, they revered him as any other prophet, but not as the Son of God. (And yes, he never claimed to be the Son of God: he called himself the Son of Man).
Anyway, my point is that it's Christians who believe Jesus will return, not Muslims.
Oh yeah, and anyone who cares: you don't need to believe in Jesus. He was real, it's well documented in many history books written by non-religious people at the time of Jesus. The only thing you need to do is work out whether you believe he really did miracles, and whether he really is the Son fo God.

I also came to islam through really following jesus alayhi salaata was salaam. Alhamdulilah. Also, yes Muslims believe in the return of al maseeh, Jesus, it is made explicit in the qur'aan and in ahaadith. The Christians on this website seem to have a distinct trait of avoiding real discussion or study of Islam, someone has told them its evil so they put their hands in the ears and shout loudly. If you believe something is true you can rationally defend it. If you discover its not you can be happy to have left falsehood. No?

Deuteronomy 13 instructs that dreamers who artwork miracles and tutor new gods could be positioned to lack of existence. So Judaism recognises Jesus for a magican - like Uri Geller. anybody who accepts the former testomony has no selection yet to reject prophets who do tricks. i imagine it can be very confusing to construct an situation making Jesus out to be a prophet for the Christians. As you're saying your self, how could he confer with god, if he replaced into god. there'll be some protestant sect someplace which believes Jesus replaced right into a prophet i assume. Protestants are so keen to be distinct that they are going to believe any previous nonsense.

No, Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons believe in Jesus and they are decidedly non-Christian. They don't believe in His exclusive deity.
Jesus did claim to be God and have the power to forgive sin. It's why the leaders got angry with him and eventually killed him.

I could not give a **** what islam believes or does not beleive. I really couldn't care less about muslims except that they stop blowing up packed commuter trains in London. They can beleive what they like apart from that. But they can also stop trying to force their beleiefs on others.
