Why have Israel been allowed to go on an obvious rampage in Lebanon without anyone in the west caring?

Occupying Lebanese land (Shebaa Farms)
Holding 10,000 Arab prisoners (more than 500 women)
Daily violation of Lebanese air and sea
Hezbollah:
Captured 2 soldiers in an attempt to negotiate for the 10,000 prisoners!!
Fires few missiles every now and then in reaction to violation of Lebanese air space!

So Israel is NOT defending anything!!

They are allowed simply because they are backed by the USA!!

And for the dude who "knows they're lying": Even when you see it in your own eyes, you will still think that because it is beyond your beliefs!!

Anyone ? Aren't we Exaggerating a tad bit? People do give a s h i t but it isn't easy to hammer out a solution. It is like breaking up a bar brawl between Lesbian bikers. All parties have plausible arguments for killing the other. Try to keep things in perspective. Thus far America's rampage in Iraq has claimed more lives than the current Lebanon crisis. Peace.

You should think and check out the news before you speak non-sense like that. But since you don't have a clue as to what's going on... some of our troops have been diverted from Iraq to Lebanon to get keep the citizens safe and to get as many people (not just Americans) out of harms way as possible. It's getting to the point already that some of the troops scheduled to go to Iraq may be sent exclusively to Lebanon now. My husband's unit is doing double duty right now, training for Iraq AND to go to Lebanon, because they're not sure where they are going to send them now. So don't say we don't care. If we didn't care, our men wouldn't be getting shot at over there.

Because most of us logical people in the west want to wipe out terrorism. Since Lebanon didn't have the balls to tell Hezbollah to get the hell out, none of us have any sympathy for them. Hezbolla fighters have been attacking and messing with Israel for years. Israel finally got tired of it, and started kicking @$$. All the Muslim countries want to get rid of Israel just because they're Jews, and the Muslims hate Jews. All of the countries over there have been trying to wipe out Israel for a long time now, but Israel has the best military, and they all know that Israel would kick their butts, just like they're doing to Hezbollah. Also, no one in the west cares about Israel hitting Hezbollah because Hezbollah is a bunch of chickensh!ts who hide their rocket launchers and missiles in the middle of suburbs. They're playing up all the "innocents being killed" because they're trying to gain sympathy from everyone. They know that Israel is going to kick their @$$es. They're all pu$$ies who hide behind women and kids.

When I was in the shopping area of a major UK city the other day there were people campaigning with a "stop the war" petition - isn't that evidence of ordinary people caring?

The main western foreign ministers and the UN Security Council has been working for weeks on the problem - isn't that evidence of governments caring?

Since when is defending yourself agaisnt terrorist organizations "going on a rampage?" The Hezbolah also murdered US, UK, French and Italian peacekeepers in the early-1980's. I don't just care, I say it's ABOUT TIME! When I see news tapes of people saying there's no Hezbollah in their towns, and I see a mural of Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah on the wall, I KNOW they're lying!

It's not a rampage. If it was then a lot more people would be dead.
Why do you not mention the million Israelis living in bomb shelters at the moment?
Just remember that when Israel kill civilians it sees it as a failure but when Hezbollah kill civilians they see it as a success.

The UN seems lacking in decisiveness ever since they were ignored over Iraq by you know who! The Israeli lobby in the US is HUGE. It really is and Israel, at the end of the day, is an extension of American politics.
