do a search for winrar and then download and install it, you will then be able to open your .rar files and you can also then make your own. Give me a yell if you like or actually have a look on EDonkey and you will get a registered version of it if you look really hard, I brought mine and it is well worth it.

You install this program and then you just drag the .rar on to the icon.
