Why is this that today children don't give respect to their elders.?

Boz new generation think they r more intelligent and Smarter then their elder. they not relize their future, boz if u do any in ur present then u see result on ur future. they don't follow this funda.

You know it all goes back to having home training!!!!! It starts at home and if children are not taught to treat their elders with respect at home then it wont work when they become adults!!!! When I was growing up you had to respect your elders it was just the right thing to do!!! These days you hear teens and young children as well being so disrespectful and I think its really a shame!!!! I sometimes take it upon myself to let children know that that's not how you treat your elders and a lot of times it falls on deaf ears I agree with Hillary Clinton when she stated IT TAKES A WHOLE VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD!!! seems that's the only way we can get things back to the way they use to be!!

They have not been taught yet. OR children think they could things by their self. They want to lead their own life. They hate when parents have to get everything into stuff like you cant go to the party. Its makes them very upset so mainly these reasons are why they give respect to their elders.

Its all how the parents raise there kids. I think with all the other problems in todays youth respect for elders have been put off to the side.

As for me my kids know to respect there elders.

Cause their parents didn't teach them too, and other people aren't allowed to tell other people's kids what to do.

I remember when I was little, I was taught to respect people older than me.. and if I was at a neighbors house.. and wasn't respectful to the elders.. I was told to go home.. parents need to teach their kids.

Because todays children have been brought up to think that they are all-important, above the law,able to scream and swear in public without being told off, and probably because they have parents who have to work, so let them run wild and free.I hope it will change one day but it probably won,t the world has changed too much.

Because parents these days are not teaching their children proper manners. They also are not properly disciplining their children when they do something wrong.
