seriously speaking , it is a rule by the jockey club that they are not allowed facial hair as it harder to identify the jockeys , I know it sounds bizarre in th 21st century but apparently it was true cos in the distant past(ha) not all jockeys were honest and up standing pillars of the community like they are now!!!!!

except for the actual midget jockeys, the others have their testicles removed at age 14 to keep from growing. the lack of testosterone prevents facial hair growth.

I have never noticed that until you pointed it out but I would assume that it woulld be to cut down n wind resistance. Anything that you can possibly to do make your horse go faster and still be legal......

They have no hair anywhere. They shave it all off to make themselves lighter! They pluck their eyebrows and cut their nails too.
