Milk is bad for the digestive system. Wrap it in a piece of cheese. My mom can tell her dog its time to take a pill and he knows its cheese and gets excited about it.
It is much easier to open the mouth and stick it in the back of their throat with a finger. Hold the snout closed and rub their throat till they swallow. Then kiss their nose.
Clavamox is also for people not just dogs.
Hopefully you have an open minded vet and you can discuss a vitamin C supplement to help with the bladder stones. The acid helps break it up.

A piece of bread squished around the pill or mix it in a bit of canned dog food...this would be better than milk. And yes clavamox is a animal version of a human medication Augmentin. Alot of times the follow up antibiotics stay the same as pre-surgery. There are times when the Dr. will change to a cepha type antibiotic. Especially when dealing with urine and / or feces and surgery. But it depends on the vet, and inevitably how the dog reacts to them...Good Luck with everything!

First of all, you shouldn't be giving a dog milk. Their systems are not able to handle milk at all, and all you are going to accomplish is giving him an awful case of the runs. Administer the clavamox just as the vet instructed you to do. If he won't take it on it's own, mix in with some moist dog food, but not milk

We always put our pills in cheese. The clavamox didn't react with the dairy in the cheese. Some dogs however will get diarrhea from milk. Not good after surgery. Cream cheese works well because it seal around a pill and they won't smell it regular cheese is good for less picky dogs. They hear the wrapper and get all excited give them a piece or two then one with a pill squeezed inside then a few more pieces they swallow them down to get more. good luck I hope your dog gets well

Milk has the potential to cause diarrhea in animals. If you want to mix the clavamox in something, use canned dog food, or an all natural yogurt (one with active cultures) These are both healthier alternatives. A small amount of peanut butter hides meds well, and dogs love peanut butter.

If it fails, at most the dog will get diarrhoae, which is also good for the dog, as it clears up its system. Anyway, dogs can't really take milk.
