I am different than my mother because... she's from a different time, and she had life different than I did. I am outgoing and popular.. she never was. I tried drugs and alcohol when I was a little younger.. she did once, but is allergic to pot. I speak my mind and voice my opinions. She didn't and still doesn't.. I am different than my mother because she grew up differently.. and allowed me the outlet to be whoever I wanted to be, and to make my own mistakes.

Oh, lets see. The question is "why" not "how." First, I was raised by my maternal grandparents and thus reflect their influence rather than my parents. Two, I am far better educated than either of my parents. And, three, I am bipolar which is controlled by medication that has a distinct affect on my personality.

I am different from my mother because I am my own person, I have been through my own set of triumphs and failures and have learned my own things along the way. Although she gave me advice I did what I wanted to in order to have my own experiences in life.

I don't look like either of them. If I found something I shared, that I didn't like, then I learned how to change that problem. Therefore making me a stronger person. I'm also not worrried about stupid crap, that they argue about. I don't let many things bother me, like they do. I'm definetly more driven to accomplish more in my life, as well.
