I am sixteen years old I was 145 lbs a few month ago and lost alot of weight, I'm now around 135 lbs (5 feet 7 inches) hoping to flatten my non-flat stomach. It didn't work! (To my surprise) after two months of weight loss and sacrifice the fat belly was still there.

Some told me to go for abdominal exercise, and I did just that, I now, literally have abdominal muscles, but the fat stomach is still there. I am really starting to lose hope, people! What is it my genetics? What can I do to get rid of this nightmare! I can't lose any more weight it's not good for my health! (I'm 135 lbs already!) What can I do? I'm ready to do anything just to get a flat stomach. Do you think I should wait and do more abdominal exercise? Or should I *sighs* go for surgery? :(

You just have to keep doing sit-ups and other exercises for your abs It takes quite a while to burn off the fat and turn it to muscle.
You won't find a doctor who will do surgery on a 16 year old unless you are what's called morbidly obese.

At 5' 7" I cant imagine that you have much of a belly and weigh 135lbs. If it is bothering you that much I suggest you see your family doctor first NOT a plastic surgeon, who of course will want to slice and dice you for the right price regardless of whether you need it or not. Or even see a dietitian who may recommend a different way of eating to lose "fat" while not necessarily losing more weight. Surgery should be your last option, especially at 16. You still have alot of growing to do so what ever you "pay" for will probably be undone in a few years or less.

Well, it depends on which area of the stomach...but usually, the place where you want to lose fat the most is usually the last place fat will be lost...if you know what I mean. I guess you have to focus on exercising at least an hour a day...running, walking, cycling...stuff like that and of course, the exercises that trigger the abdominal area. Best of luck!

Get checked by a doctor- you might have a tumor. Or it could all be visceral fat around you organs. Keep up your healthy lifestyle- it could be genetic that your family is thicker in the middle. Don't strive for something you can not have either. If you are healthy and happy that is all that matters. Think of all the people who don't have hearing, eyesight, limbs, and live their lives struggling. A flat stomach is not so impartant now is it?

Fat in the stomach area is the last to go and the hardest to get rid of. Keep working at it. You say you lost weight, but how is your diet? skip caffeine, low sodium, lots of water! Dont give up
