Try this at your leisure.
Go shopping with a bible (holy book of any kind) and see what you can buy.
Then go shopping with money and see what you can buy.
Since we usually rely on stores for our existence (food, clothing, transport), it appears money is a far more reliable provider of necessaries than holy books.

1Ti 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and [into] many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition 1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1Ti 6:11 ¶ But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 1Ti 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Because money fulfills immediate needs. God fulfills needs, but according to his time, not ours. People are impatient and time conscious. This is all because of sin, our fallen state. Mo9st people are condemned and going to hell; therefore they do not have the understanding of eternal life in Christ Jesus. Those of us who are saved care not for the trinkets of this world, as our focus is upon the eternal rewards in Christ. Read chapter 8 of the book of Romans---all 39 verses---for a clear understanding of the gospel. Jesus loves you.

I'm so glad to see that God messed somebody up like He has done to me. I'm glad to see that God has changed someone so much that they don't even understand the world anymore. They can't see how people can do the things we do.......
People love money because a lot of other people love money and that, my friend, is a powerful tool.

Man was meant to fall. Ever since the beginning of time, when Adam and Eve sinned, we have all been severed from the truth, blinded in all the lies.
What man did (and is still doing) to get to their 'truth' was to make their easiest way. Their easiest, simplest, and own way that they THINK will get them somewhere. Worshipping false idols, science, anything else that isnt Jesus. Money is among them.
But, the bible states that ONLY JESUS is the way to heaven. Believing in him, and that He died for us to get to heaven is the ticket itself.

if you are feeling the adverse effects of going for wealth, it is time for you to review what you have done and come out from the race for wealth and focus on the mental aspects besides small finances.

You can be a homeless bum praying to G-d and still be a homeless bum. "Prayer alone rarely works, you need to add in some help of your own" ~ Some preachy dude pastor.

One day, these people will find out like all of us did, that material things bring no true fulfilment.Only in Christ can we find true fulfilment.
