Biotechnology has large scope . There will be a requirement of 4 lakh biotechnologists till 2025 & there will only be 50000 biotechnologists till then so you can well think of its future aspects. As far as its study goes then it deals mainly with cell biology, moleculer biology, biochemistry, genetics etc.India's best institute in this field is Amity University according to me, in addition you can step into this field by any engeenering exam ,it can be done by both PCM& PCB.It has a great scope in india

The future of biotech lies mainly in India.
I will not say that its easy if you do it regularly and other conventional things. If you have been a Maths student then you may initially find Biology part tough and if you have been from Bio side then you may initially find Maths part difficult.
Pick up the book,go through the subject matter and you will understand it after 2-3 readings if not the first time. Its only a matter of initial hesitation and starting trouble.

Biotech in India will grow as the rest of the world goes on further exploring its limits. India will not have that amount of money to spend for the basic R&D, but these funds will come from the developed countries.

You as a biotech engineer in India will be doing the actual work for them.
