Beside dogmatic thoughts, it is said that pedophilia is common within the church. I have no ideas myself, I have just heard it from what is know as a good source.

An abundance of Criminal lawsuits for Child Molestation, a haven for Homosexuals and pedophiles, and the third largest monetary and real estate Holdings in the World...all under the Vatican Bank! The idea that you can be absolved from ANY mortal sin /capital crime and/or other mini sins by the wave of a magic hand (in the sign of a Cross) and last by no means least the Papacy and Absolute Infallibility from the lips of the Pope on any subject!

The Vatican sponsors some scientific research these days. (Evidently, Galileo taught them a lesson that they did eventually learn.) When I was in the USAF, I used some spectroscopic tables on small molecule radiation that they published.
