In an earlier question i asked someone said that Britain has been selling uranium to Iran and got caught. I've done some research and found that this just isn't true. I thought it sounded odd as the US wants to war Iran which means we will too, therefore we won't be selling them anything. I'd like to know if more people believe that the British sold uranium to Iran, and if so where did this story come from?

Everything is plausible all is possible in the world of commerce. Uranium could be sold for legit reasons. Anything can be reasonable. Bush says bloody war in Iraq is reasonable. Millions of reasonable people think it is reasonable to march into Iran. Billions of people on Earth think it is reasonable to quibble over religion. War is a religion for a few and thus stories circulate currency for the battles yet to be fought. A lot of information is in play. Back in the day did not millions eagerly accept the WMD excuse. In The words of Alfred Hitchcock the Uranium is a McGuffin, something to drive the plot but the true story is much more complicated.

Not only British Companies but U.S. Companies are also selling Uranium to Iran. Every country has right to develop and defend itself.
U.S, U.K , Israil and their alliance alone are not the world. Iran, India, North and South Korea, Pakistan, etc., are also Independant Soveriegn Countries and part and parcel of the world and they are free to utilize the Uranium for development purpose and also for their self defence.

I seriously doubt that any business transaction between the British and the Iranians occurred where the British gave the Iranians Nuclear Capable Material.

News to me. But, there are legit reasons for uranium, in medical use. Also, it could be the depleted kind. Anyways, I wouldn't think the British government had any knowledge of such transactions. Perhaps private companies, which wouldn't surprise me.
