They are in my backyard during the night, and they come to take the cat food left out.
They aren't normal rats either, I don't even know if they are rats.
One is as big as a cat, it has a white face with a long pointy nose, it's fur is brown but very thin.
There are also two small ones, about the size of regular rats but with the same faces.
If anyone knows how I can kill them (especially the large one) or can at the very least tell me what they are I would greatly appreciate it.

Your description sounds an awful lot like possums, so that's how I'll answer.
I had that trouble with possums before, what I had to do was take the cat food away at night, and give it back in the morning, By doing that I was able to feed my cats, but not the possums. They also have a humane coon or possum trap where you can catch them, and take them far far away, and then let them go someplace that they won't be near you or your cats. Be careful too though, because possums and coons may seriously hurt your cats and kittens . Also it may help to put mothballs, and amonia around the area, to keep them from bothering it.

I think you have possums, mama and her babies. They are fairly harmless, all they are interested in is the cat food. If you bring that in at night, they will find another food source and move on. Possums are the only creature on the face of the earth that can not come down with rabies, even if infected. Their body produces an enzyme that destroys the disease. They put up a fierce facade, but are in fact a very docile animal, and would rather run than fight. So, take away the food, and they will be gone. If that isn't an option, call your local animal control office and tell them that you have possums, and see if they will bring out a live trap so that they can be caught and relocated. There is no reason to kill them

Why do you leave cat food out? Isn't your cat allowed inside? You're lucky you just have opossums. Cat food left out can attract foxes, coyotes, dogs, other cats, raccoons, and bears. Think anything that eats meat...Bring the cat and the cat food in and I'll guarantee there will be no more problem with critters in the backyard. Or just take the food in when the cat is through eating.

They are opposums.
Don't leave food out and keep the cat in for a few nights and they will move on.
If they still remain, find a hillbilly and they'll take care of the problem by fixin' some dinner.

Maybe they are opossums. They love to eat cat food. I don't know how to get rid of them though. They are so ugly.
