the thrill of discovery
discovery of new pleasures and a search for self-esteem to convince herself that she could still seduce other men.
that's why

Maybe it's not $$$$ Maybe your wife cheated because you and she didn't communicate to each other about what was missing in your own relationship.

Maybe your wife was looking for a thrill....and the art of deception was giving her that. Once caught....the thrill is gone.

You're focusing on the $$$$ aspect but dude.....$$$$ has nothing to do with it!

It is not about the $$$. He provided something she felt she was not getting from you. Could be sex, emotionally support, compliments, interesting conversation. What was your marriage like before this happened? Have you talked to her about it? and if you are still together can you give her what she need so that she won't go looking elsewhere? All ?'s to seriously consider. Life is too short to live unhappy. If the marriage can't be changed then move on.

Because obvisiously you are not giving your wife what she needs, your
money wont buy happiness, or so you figured out, or else your wife wouldnt have done the mortal deed

I am athletic, good in bed, good enough to earn money at it. I have money and intellectual assets, women find me desirable enough to pay to see and speak to me. I loved my wife enough to die for her. She ran off with a huge ugly fat man with no dick. He had the intellectual agility of a small soap dish, but he did have money, far more than I. Sometimes women puzzle me, but I love them all, someone has to. Tony.

1: you are not paying attention to her anymore
2:there is probably more passion with the old guy than with you. word of advice, work on it.
3:she's bored( connected to 2)

talk to your wife and listen to what she has to say...i mean LISTEN.
good luck.

There are lots of reasons:

she's bored with you (sexually or mentally)
she was flattered by him
she felt she needed to try something new
you aren't her ideal man anymore
there is a problem with your marriage
