Yes, I have had quite bad sinusitus for a couple of years, which can result in migraines and nausea. I have been prescribed with painkillers (ibuprofen, codeine, paracetamol) and maxolon (a nausea suppresant), which were ineffective against my migraines -- I have found that Sudafed and/or nasal saline sprays are quite effective, when used early on (i.e. when I first notice a headache).

My migraines (both stress migraines and sinusitis migraines) have recently been traced back to a TMJ problem -- the left side of my jaw does not quite sit right due to improper orthodontic treatment. I now exercise the jaw (by pushing it down and/or to the side, resisting against my hand), and the frequency of my headaches has diminished substantially.

yes i do unfortunately and it is a very painful condition. the main reason for my sinusitis is yes smoking!!!

when i get attacks i go to my GP who prescribes me antibiotics and painkillers, which really really helps and normally by day 2 I'm feeling a lot better.

you need or the person who is suffering from it needs to find out the cause of the sinusitis, its normally due to an over immune responce too the allergen that is causing it, until you find out what is causing this the problem will never go away and there for you will suffer recurring bouts of this problem, which is painful

if u or the person who is suffering this smokes this is more than likely to be causing this, so i would recommend going to your doctor and asking him/her to refer you to a anti smoking clinic.

believe me you will feel the benefits in no time, even if smoking is not the cause you need to ask your GP for a allergy test to find out what is causing the allergen to you getting sinusitis.

so the pain and infection can stop which I'm sure if you have sympathetic GP he/she will understand the pain and distress it can cause and will help u in every way the can to put a stop to this.

yes i have it constantly! the best thing to do and i hate it is to fill a bowl with boiling water plenty of vicks put a towel over your head and place your head over the bowl it works as treat make sure you have tissues at hand nasty stuff is likely to come out! also you can try decongestants however you may find that these (when you stop taking them) cause the mucus to come back ten times as bad. Make sure you go to the docs for antibiotics too and make sure they are at least 250mg or higher preferrably amoxycillin if you aren't allergic to penicillin! Hope this helps?

Yes. Drinking plenty of water seems to help. When the pain is really bad I take a combination (GP approved) of Paracetamol & Codeine and Ibuprofen

Yes I've been told I have it due to a deviated septum of the nose due to injury. Some times the pain is unbearable and I've taken tablets but its made no difference. I think I'll need a septoplasty to correct it.

Hi yeh, it sounds a bit lame but my mum does and struggles with it every summer due to the dust and pollen. She tends to use Sinex and vicks which she has found helps a bit. Apart from that nothing, if you have found a fix or somehting that really helps let me know as she would really benefit from it.
