Hbr 13:1 ¶ Let brotherly love continue.
Hbr 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Hbr 13:3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; [and] them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

This scripture is a reminder to treat all people well and to help them because you may never know when you are helping an angel. Perhaps sent from heaven to test our goodness.
Once, when I was fourteen or so I was standing in the courtyard at our church between Sunday school and Church, a very ragged, dirty looking man walked up to my Daddy and told him that he was trying to find the bus station and he needed money for a ticket to get home. Now I had watched him walk up to us from the direction of the bus station. We don't live in a big town, the bus station was one block over, he probably passed it on his way to us. Any way , my Daddy gave him $20 and pointed towards the bus station. I looked at my Daddy after he had walked off and said"You know he is going to spend that money on booze or something!" I'll never forget what Daddy said to me, "When I gave him that $20 it became his money to do with what he pleases. It' not my job to tell him how to spend it, it's just my job to help someone in need, remember baby, you never know when you are attending angels unaware."

But, the scripture means that we never know who we're dealing with. We know that angels can appear as humans. We see this in the Genesis story of Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah. And when Jacob wrestled an angel and in some other circumstances with Abraham and Sarah, and others.

So, they have the ability to disguise as humans. These angels for their own entertainment deal with us sometimes. A bum on the street, someone asking for directions, etc. We never know who we're dealing with so we should treat everyone with kindness and respect. I'd hate to get an angel angry by acting like a fool.

I thought the story about the contractor that someone else posted was a very likely story. There are many documented accounts of strange things like that which happened to people.
I believe in God's Word. If it says that we entertain angels, then we entertain angels.

Be on your best behavior because you never know...

The person -- the being -- is ALWAYS aware, although the "brain" (the physical mind) might not be. And, always, the being recedes into quietude when the force of the Angel enters -- for Angels are only entering at the call of the service of the Almighty One, and, since we all know this as the highest calling imaginable, we step aside, as the soul should like to, while the Angel does its service.

It is a rare and life-changing moment -- never to be forgotten. And to witness it happening to someone you know and love is another wonder entirely...

In 94 I had a woman that a contractor had screwed over in Vt. just before winter that had every one I knew looking for me to work for her. When I asked her where she heard about me she told me a story I had a hard time with. She said she had picked up this huge man hitch hiking and he told her all about the work I had done an that I would work with her. HE CLAIMED THAT HE HAD WORKED WITH ME FOR MANY YEARS AND EVEN GAVE HER NAMES OF ALL THE PEOPLE I HAD DONE WORK FOR. I did the job just like he said I would thing was I had never met or known of this person in my life. Was he an angel helping her?

i do not think on angels as most do .. i feel they are higher beings who would not be on earth in any shape or form ( for many reasons )
the word angel means messenger of god .. and if you look at it this way then yes there are many angels everywhere , but they are human

i would probably look up the word "entertain" in the stroms concordance....entertain also means "To extend hospitality toward" and it sounds like its saying kinda like be hospitable to strangers because they could be angels in discuise..
