Antibiotics are terrible for your body and should only be used as a last resort.

I would picki up some unrefined sea salt mix it in some distilled water to tollerance and gargle three times a day.

Also quit dairy.

Also swish sunflower seed oil between my teen until it turned to foam three times a day. Oil swishing removes toxins.

You might also try stinging nettle tea.

Word terminology...
acute (means not last more then 6 months, chronic last more then 6 months)
tonsil (tonsils)
pharyn (pharynx)
itis (inflammation/infection)
Different areas of the throat are irritated or infected. antibiotics usually cure and the know causes are a variety.
