RSS stands for Rashtriya Sikh Sangat. It is an anti-Sikh group started by Hindus. It has the support of both Congress and Bhajpa parties and its main goal is to absorb Sikhism into Hinduism. The Indian government is spending millions of rupees to destroy Sikhism

Sikhs can't buy land in other states of India, can't vote and nor can they own a business whereas Hindus coming in Punjab have right to vote and can buy the land for farming. This way there will be more Hindu farmers in Punjab than Sikhs and the crops will only be given to Hindus not Sikhs. Sikhs will starve to death

Brahminism has always feared the Sikh faith. The Sikh Gurus proclaimed the equality of all humanity and rejected practices like caste, holy threads and worship of the cow. The exploitation of simple people by the Brahmin was eliminated. Although Hindu fundamentalists have taken a keen interest in destroying Sikhism for centuries, this latest cycle of Hindu attacks on Sikhism can be traced to 1993. The Sikh Liberation Movement had been brutally crushed in Punjab and was on its final breaths. Sikh villagers were afraid of being identified as being practicing Sikhs and roves of young Sikh men were cutting their hair so that they would not be harassed or killed by the police.

Sikhism originated from Hinduism. Guru Govind Singh was a hindu from Bihar who started the Sikh religion. Actually, Sikh is a Panth (path to follow), not a religion at all. When Guru Govind Singh started the Panth, it was to create an army of hindus to fight against the Mougals. Every family in Punjab started offering one of their sons or daughter to the Panth. Over the period of time, people seem to have forgotten the origins of Sikhism. Even today, Hindus and Sikhs pray the same god(s), be it Shiva, Durga, Vishnu, Laxmi, Saraswati or any other God. No body can stop a Hindu from accepting Sikh Panth and vice-versa.

Preachings of Sikh Panth are too sacred to be destroyed by few fanatics. No religion is strong enough to destroy the belief of people.

And when we talk about Sikh militancy, we forget that there were few people who were influenced by the foreign powers (you know which country I am talking about) to fight against their own Country. It was all rubbish. They all understood what India stands for and everything was back to normal. Whatever happened during 80's is a thing of past and must be forgotten. Anyone can make a mistake. Few Muslims (in place of power) wanted a seperate country and they created Pakistan in 1947. If we allow our country to be divided into smaller countries based on religions, there would be numerous small countries. Yadavs will have Yadusthan, Kshatriyas will have something called "Kshatryasthan", Kayasths will have "Lalisthan" and several others. Why do we link our religion to the country when everyone is free to follow his own religion without any problems?

Good God, no!. Whatever the first answerer has written is total crap. SIkhism and Hindusim share a very healthy relationship. Unpleasantness caused by Sikh militancy in 1980s and 1990s is a thing of the past. Sikhs and Hindus live in complete harmony in India. In fact, there are inter faith marriages between Sikhs and Hindus. Many Sikhs regularly visit temples and I personally know many Hindus (including myself) who regularly visit Gurudwaras. If you take a count on any random day, there are more non-Sikhs visiting Golden Temple in Amritsar then Sikhs. I (a non-Sikh) visit Golden Temple almost every year (I stay far away from Amritsar). Any attempts to drive a wedge between Sikhs and Hindus should be condemned.

sikhism originally originated from hinduism. guru nanak dev ji hindu from bihar. hinduism and sikhism are d only two religions in india which have actually originated in india. other religions like islam and christianity are not of indian origin.
hinduism and sikhism are very much common in terms of belief and teachings. both religions teach the lessons of huminity. there is a very strong binding among the people of both d religions.
infact hindus are proud of sikh brothers bcoz sikhs hav a huge share in indian army. sikh regiment (which comprise of mostly sikhs) is considered as one of the best regiment of indian army.
there is no point in trying 2 destroy sikhism.
and plz dont ask any questions without having at least little knowledge abt d subject. i cant imagine such a question in this healthy atmosphere.

Political parties may try anything in their pursuit of votes , but they DO NOT represent the world of Hindus . The Vedic Religion -- dubbed 'Hinduism' by Westerners -- has existed for ages before the creation of latter--day religions such as Buddhism , Jainism & Sikhism , & has peacefully co--existed with them for centuries without feeling threatened , & shall continue to exist forever in the future .

I think there is no truth in that. Hindu and Sikh are in co-existence and Hinduism and sikhism are in mutually co-operative. There are no differences at present.
