Initially, I'm much happier taking the lead myself. I have my more passive moments but that's when I'm not at my best or most comfortable. Overall, I think a bit of give and take is best. If a man is able to drop his guard and isn't too proud to be vulnerable, it is much more likely that I will drop mine. There has to be trust on both sides. We all like to feel big and important sometimes and I think a good partner recognises when to step out of the spotlight and help their bf(s)/gf(s) to shine.

Do you mean in all aspects of a relationship? If so, I do. I have been happily married for 37 years and my husband still opens the car door, brings me a beverage while watching TV, opens doors and lets me go ahead of him and just does everything with me in mind. He is a wonderful man and I hope every woman can find one like him and they let their fella lead. Just don't feel like you have to walk 10 paces behind them just because they do lead. Some women let men become too obsessive.

Yes. It's not so much about the 'leading' per se--it's the demonstration of self-confidence that makes the most difference.
