I have been told by people of differant Christian religions that i'm going to hell.

But does it matter if you're Babtist, Catholic, Jehovah's Witness, Etc. aslong as you are true in your heart that you want to learn about The LORD, that you love, respect, fear, and obey the The LORD, are ashamed of sinning aginst Him, and are repentent?

I sappose i am not really looking for answears from people, as much as i am observing opinions.
I realise all answears i need considering the matter are in The Holy words of The Bible.

J T, you refuse to believe, why? Obviously because you're so caught up with yourself you cannot bare the idea there may be anouther being more powerful, more respectful, and more importent then yourself.

Please, do not discuss the matter of The LORD being real, or not my questions. If you must jeprodise your soul, do it elsewhere.

I am not sure any of our minor differences matter one bit to God or not, but none of us really know. We must live our lives, follow our faiths and consciouses and in the end we will understand.I do feel that you have hit upon the most important crux of the story. Too many of us have lost site of the big picture. It is what we have in common that binds us together as a Christian community. Thank you for your insightful words here and elsewhere.
Peace Be With You,
Debra

The differences are very important, but not in a negative way. Your relationship with god should be completely intimate and personal. Almost like lovers but so much deeper than that. God should be a living force inside you. The feeling in your sould when you do something you know you shouldn't, the feeling when you do something wonderful. That's the voice of god telling you which path is right for you. Don't worry about what any other person tells you. They are just as human as you and don't have any more idea what's right for you that you do. God made you unique, special. Honor that by celebrating your differences. Don't offend or cause pain with your differences, that would dishonor you and god. Use your differences. Somewhere in the universe is a place where your differences fit like a puzzle piece. God will show how to reach that place. Be patient and listen. And never expect to shoot right to the final destination. There are many experiences you must have to prepare to fit in your place. Live each experience and opportunity completely without reservation, because they are all lessons to be learned. Lessons in how to flow with the universal design better. Will anyone ever know the whole plan? Of course not. All we have to know is our part and how it helps the world around us. You were born with a purpose, as everyone was, but we do not all have the same purpose. We are unique for a reason. Don't insult god by suggesting that the nuances of my character that make me different from every one else can possibly be a mistake. God doesn't make mistakes. There are those that would argue that certain flaws are demons or evils that are to be removed from the person. Well I say unto them, a mere mortal cannot remove what god put in. These things are not evils. They are training devices given to us to train ourselves and make ourselves stronger. And the more difficult training is reserved only the strongest. God made you, he knows your limitations better than you do. Trust he would never give you more than you carry; just more than you think you can carry to remind you one in a while that you are, in every way, a divine creation.

The only truth is that so many religions use the same terms, that you do have to know which Jesus are they talking about - many do not believe that Jesus alone is enough and that is the error. So the difference that matters if the relationship held with Jesus Christ - as long as you accept his as the only begotten son of God who died on the cross and rose again as the wages of sin that we were born into of which the price is eternal separation from God in hell - but by Jesus sacrifice on the cross and resurrection and acceptance in those truths one can now have a personal Lord and Savior and indwelling of the Holy Spirit, then you have chosen the true Jesus Christ and can choose the option of heaven for the your afterlife. To accept a Jesus Christ in any other form is to accept the wrong one. But for the petty differences in man's traditions after that basic fact, no, they are just man's petty differences.

Brother, i used to belong to a branch of Christianity but i became more thorough in my christian service partly due to dissatifaction but i got the kick start i needed as i was lacking through a particulrly traumatic experience. No matter what branch of christianity i'd say trust in the Lord and remember to use your King James Version as the Bible as new versions water down the word and the bible teaches punishment for those who add or take away from the word of God.

Consider an illustration: A tornado is on the way; who will be saved?
A good person? A bad person?

A person who heeds the warning!

For too long, false religion has done a disservice to its adherents by convincing them that as long as they "accept Jesus" then they are "saved". The Scriptures indicate much about God's will, and there is much more involved than merely "accepting Jesus".

The Dalai Lama said something very beautiful regarding this: "I think that it is more important to be a good person than to be religious". The purpose of spiritual belief should be to make you a better person. I truly believe that God doesn't have exclusive contracts with anyone: He made us all and loves us all equally. Why, then, would He want the loss of any single one of his children? It is mankind, with its insecurities and its needs to be the 'only' or 'chosen' ones, that imposes upon others. A loving God will not turn from any who seek Him with truth in their hearts.

No...although I know quite a few Christians who are convinced that I'll end up in Hell because I don't wear a tie to church.

...and for J T (above)..."belief" is as much a reality as anything else. How can someone say that it's not possible to believe? If this is true, what you have written is something you know is not true...therefore it must be a lie!

Thats pretty bad 4 them 2 tell u ur goin ta HELL, i think the average non-believer would chase them down the street 4 their comments.

The differences do matter if god exists, apparently the bible used to contain the word 'Jehovah' where the word 'god' now sits.

Yes, they do matter. For it is not up to us how God wants to be woshipped. It is for God to decide what is acceptable to Him that matters.

Almighty God did not send His son Jesus to earth for nothing. Jesus had to teach us how Jehovah God wants to be worshipped. Jesus taught one way, is it not. It's to find out who is telling the tue story that matters.

If your religion has the tiniest of lie in it, is it not then false religion. True religion is absolutely clean from lies.
