I've been there girl. I am so sorry that this has happened but I kinda kno where you are coming from. I kept it to myself for a few years and it just led me to cutting. It was the worst time in my life. I was so sad all the time but couldn't figure out why. Then the guy came back for more, that was when I realized I had to do something. Don't make the same mistake I did. I plead with You!!! Someone out there can help. God bless you. Take care of yourself. And I know that it's going to be tough but it's worth it in the long run.

Hi Amanda, I am sorry to hear this. And YES it will help your depression. You do need to talk to someone and get this excuse arrested and charged with your rape. There is no need and or justification for raping a girl/woman. He needs toi be shot. But start by talking to someone and going to the Police. PLEASE Keep in mind if this did not happen recently and I'm sure you have washed and cleaned yourself, then any physical evidence will most likely have been washed away. So it will come down to your word against his. BUT PLEASE do turn this scum bag in. Don't sit back and take it. This IS NOT your fault. Talk to someone, Good Luck.

No! Accept the facts of life and move forward. Bad things happen to everyone everyday. You have to have a strong balanced mental attitude and be capable of quickly getting over all these imperfect situations life throws at you ! Don't take everything personally. Forgive and forget .Don't dwell on your pass. It is over. You need a strong positive outlook on life and it will be better. You are the only one controlling your brain so steer it in the direction you want to go! I wish you the best!

I would say yes, if the reason you are depressed stems from your rape. It's not good to keep all your feelings locked in, it's good to talk to someone that understands. Take care.

Yes. A couple of people have mentioned RAINN, great resource. I wouldn't tell just anyone because people who do not understand the trauma could definitely cause more harm than good. Choose your confidant wisely. Check for a local abuse shelter in your area or contact a mental health center. And always remember, we do heal.

Blessings to you. Be well.

You have to find someone you trust to talk to about this. Unfortunately, many people engage in what is called the second rape--the later traumatization of the victim. You may find people who judge you, or won't believe you. Think very hard about who you want to talk to about this, because they may betray and hurt you.

RAINN is an excellent resource for this. You can call their hotline (a free number), and talk to an anonymous person about this. They don't judge. 1800656hope

If you need to talk, you can always message me on yahoo through my screen name. I'm so sorry this happened to you.

I think it will help to talk about it with someone who you trust and feel safe with, preferably someone familiar with what you may be experiencing. A good place to start may be a rape crisis center or hotline

First of all, if you don't tell someone (not just anyone) (a therapist) then you may not ever be able to move on from your terrible experience. If you try to keep pushing it back in your mind, trust me, it will never go a way and will always resurface. Best to deal with it now and move on then try to deal with that when you may be trying to deal with other issues as well. Trying to pretend that something is ok when it comes to sexual brutality of others...it just doesn't go away. Many times it will interfere with how you relate to your to others the rest of your life. Don't keep it in. Let go of it so you can move on.

Ya sure, but be careful. When a men came to know that you are raped, he might be friendly in the begining and also wants to have sex since you have been raped. Be care ful with the person you are going to share .
