I've already passed my theory and had quite a lot of lessons but I'm not very confident and need a lot more practice. I hate doing lessons as I worry about them and feel I'd be better doing it all at once. Have you ever done this? Was it OK and did you pass? Any experience/comments welcome!

Thank you x

My Dad did it when he was 55. He said it was great. They taught him to drive in all sorts of conditions, and he passed at the end of the week.

Ok, If you are not confident driving, do not do the intensive course. I did it, because I was the same as you, I booked it all, payed £300 for it all test included, and the instuctor knocked my confidence so much I cried after every lesson.

They are there for good drivers who need brushing up and passing tricks.

My advice is just do more than one lesson a week with your normal instructor. And if you are worried about having lessons, change your instructor. To be honest, there are very few good driving instructors out there.

I did a 5-day intensive driving course. It was very tiring, and by the end of the Thursday I was pretty much dead on my feet. The lessons were really good, but I wasn't able to put them into practise in the test.
I would recommend having 5 days of lessons and then have the test the following week.

Well i know my dad did it, and passed, but he had been riding a motorcycle for a year before he started driving a car...
Good luck anway, I know what it's like because I'll be taking my test soon and I jump all the time when I'm driving, even if it's only a bird flying past!

Relax everybody is nervous while taking there test its perfectly normal to feel this way and when you pass you will wonder what all the fuss was all about driving is all about concentration and safety just common sense. the five day course you refer to is called a crash course[unfortunate name] but very expensive

I havn't done this but i have friends who have and they say it worked. The reason i didn't was i'm not sure i could handle that amount of stress for 5 days!
