No, humanism does not need to operate in an atmosphere devoid of religious content; indeed, many of the great humanists have come from the Christian and Islamic traditions. Humanism is a philosophy, not a religion nor an anti-religion.
So, short answer is, while I favor the spread of Humanism, I do not favor banning religion.

No. why not ban atheists?or vegetarians? or lazy people? You're being sectarian. You cannot force people to give up religions. I know that they brought a lot of pain in this world, but men don't need religion to bring chaos and pain. people use their religion as a pretext for war and other bad things. It's so easy to give accountability to God for what we've done wrong! But God is so much bigger than religion...Even if you ban religio, God will still be here. Religion is man-made but God is not made by anyone, He is the beginning of all things. Nothing is above him.

No. If global humanism takes the route of secular humanism, consider all the immorality there: abortions, euthanasia, homosexuality, gay marriages, etc. We need religion to keep us on the moral straight and narrow and we need God's commandments to life.

no - as religion is the only thing that some people have a belief in and if it can ease pain and suffering by taking there mind away from there current circumstances the better.

That will never happen so move on to less radical change. You'll never get rid of religion because for most people that's all they have. Don't take away thier security blanket.

No. Religions teach you to be good. It's not the religion's fault if people commit bad things in the name of it.

Nice try! It could never work because there are too many people who are very deeply involved in their religion. The would never leave the church, or if they would leave the church they would never leave their God.

A "global humanism" that dictates spirituality?
That attempts to erase ancient cultural identity?
That wants to make us all the same and eradicate human diversity?
No Thanks!
