If you don't know who these guys are you shouldn't be on a Martial arts site as they are the most popular fighters in the world today.
Sakuraba was the first guy to make the Gracies look 2nd best in the ring defeating Royler, Royce, Ronzo and Ryan all Gracies and Rickson is the best Gracie and has a record of over 600 wins and no losses although most of these fights are in Jui Jitsu competition. I have waited for this fight ever since Sacuraba defeated Royce Gracie in Japan at PRIDE in 2000.
This event is going to take place finaly and i can't wait it will be held at K1 either on October 9th or December 31st and Rickson will be getting paid a huge 3 MILLION US can you beleve it?
Who will win and how?
Why have these guys singed to fight in K1 instead of PRIDE?

Can't wait too. What a fight it'd be. Watched Sakura and Royce a few years back. I'd pick Rickson Gracie this time. I'd say Sakuraba's been to too many hard fought matches. Gracie all the way. Is he really gettting paid 3 million US? That's a lot of money in MMA. They don't even get that close to UFC.

They are not the most popular fighters in the world, very popular but not the most.
This is a very difficult fight to call, Rickson is the best Gracie and undefeated 11-0 in mma career but HE IS 50 YEARS OLD!
Sakuraba is very good 20-9 not the best in the world but,,, i would say a very seasoned fighter. he is 40 years old. SO both of these guys are pretty old but once u hit ur 40's u get worse so ill say Sakuraba has the advantage.
Why i say Sakuraba is because he has a good standup, not just for a subimissionist. But even as a boxer, he has great standup, better than ricksons also his ground game is even better. But rickson might have a better ground game, its hard to say. Age matters in this match, 50 is old i think. It sounds like u know stuff about fighting so u also know how age hinders. Royce, Ken, This guy is even older. Older might mean he is experienced and tough but it also means loss of stregnth and reflex. So just because of all thats going for sakuraba, im going for him.Rickson should leave while he is undefeated, ALso Rickson only faced one semi hard oppenent. Most of the people Rickson faced have losing records. So if u are placing money go with sakuraba it will get u some cash, do it by punches because rickson will only go for ground and will get punished for it. SO HOPE THIS GETS U SOME MONEY$$$$
I say Sakuraba wins by KO (punches) lol.
They signed to fight in K1 because they offered more money, than pride, alot more money, like more than double.

as you said rickson has over 600+ fights and no losses? does sakuraba has the same record just for beating his bros? hell no i tell you what i can bet you a $1000 bucs that rickson will beat sakuraba by a back choke or an arm bar wich are ricksons fave to win in submision.
perhaps K1 would pay more then Pride?

I would think this would go to Saku. He has better stand-up and is a lot younger. If it was a jiu-jitsu match Rickson would probably win. Even though I think Saku will win I still have to say this.
