Jesus spoke of coming to bring division, not peace and the sword He speaks of is the Truth. Families will be torn apart because some will accept Him and others won't, etc. It is not a literal sword that He will use to hurt and injure people. As far as your quoting the quran, I don't know anything about it so no comment on that aspect of your question.

people were not educated very well 2000 years ago, and the fact that someone said something other than, "get to work or ill throw you to the lions" was mind bending. they still tallk about the WORD.. if someone wrote a word, any word, and then someone else read it, it was like a spiritual connection. they could feel what he felt. the sensed the power in the word.
i can promise you that if anyone of us online right now could travel back to jesus time, and started writting all are thoughts down, we would blow jesus right out of his fathers house, in fact we'd blow god out of his house and everyone would be waiting for you to come back. I came to bring a sword.....means as much as "go dog go" which is saying alot because you might not know but that spelled backwards is "og god og".....now i know you understand

You dont have to misquote the Bible its the examples
of the minor prophets that people dont think they need
to know about. it helps to study about the 12 apostles
because each one was inspired to write there books
of the bilbe. Luke was a doctor but he still wrote.read
matthhew Mark Luke and John. they are interesting
accounts you may be surprised what you read and how
it applys to our day.

The sword of Jesus is truth for the righteous judgement of his children. Did He say that He was going to strike anyone with that sword?

It didn't mean war....It meant our theologic fights over useless discussions...jesus knew that people would disagree because of him. When people within a family share not the same Christian beliefs, they are divided. Jesus didn't want that but he knew Satan would try his best to divide people and he started by dividing Christians...But remember jesus'prayer "that all maybe one" (John 17)

Yes,Jesus said that according to your bible. But it also said he was meek.

The Quran said Muhammad will bring blessing to whole mankind(and the Jinn).i.e including your goodself.

Your bible mentioned that he will come with fiery law in his hand.
