Why does it have to be Adam and Eve? Why can't it be Lucy, Bob, Michael, Abby, Josephine, Billy ...............

Do you expect to get a decent answer? Religious people will deny it because you have to "believe", no scientific proof required.

At least 10 Adams and 18 Eves sounds better than incest.

Couple of reasons one, if Eve is a female from Rhodesia then maybe. Two, we share dna with every living thing at some level. Evolution doesn't disprove the god of the BOBLE or any other holy book, but sure doesn't mean a god was involved.

Sorry but another study found but 1 "Eve".

**Reply** So then science isn't quite so scientific? Last week it was 1 EVE, now it is 18, next week will be 7. Science looses a lot of creditability because it is no longer true science. Just a bunch of people running around spouting theory as fact.

That is not in the slightest bit true! DNA has been linked to 1 male and 1 female. However that has no benefit to Creation or evolution. Since to have evolved we would have most likely gone through an original set as well.

Just fine.
In Gen chapter 1 the 6th day creation
in Gen chapter 2 the 8th day creation of THE Adam!

So Many races were created I find 10 adams to be a bit small

That is interesting if true. Do you have a link for that info?

I"m an atheist and am just intellectually curious. I reject the bible, it is a book of mythology.

Thanks for the link. The subject is fascinating but I quickly (and easily) become confused by all the jargon they seem to use.

And, it seems geneticists like to argue with each other almost as much as bible thumpers. :-)

Interesting

Forty-one generations in Matthew from Abraham to Jesus and Luke says there were fifty-six.

Eve was evolution.

Eve differed in the fact that she was not a created being, but one made out of existing material from a man, a rib.

Maybe a giant chemistry lab.

This is tremendously cool. Thank you.

With regard to the Bible I won't rehash the offspring of Noah. I do believe in evolution.

that is very true and a hot topic between my jewish friend and I... it's not physically or genetically possible for us to have come from 1 man and 1 woman, especially if the woman was of that man....
