well ive been seeing her for about 6 monhts now and we've been best friends for over a year. i can honestly say i do love her and she can say the same (although im sure most of you will say shes rele not) anyway i'm not stupid enough to have sex with her until she the age of consent (which is 17 where i live) and i dont have a promblem waiting either but i just wanna know can i get in trouble for just being in a relitionship with her, just doing normal things like going to the movies, the mall, bowling ect... i also have many friends who are in the same situation who are dating minors (and sexualy active with there partners) i dont have anything wrong with it, she doesnt, her sister doesnt nor does yer mom, her dad on the other hand is very oblivious to whats going on due to his long work hours....yeah so i just wanna know what you think or what the law would think

As long as there is no sexual contact, ie: intercourse, oral sex, etc. You will be fine. No one can condemn you for dating, holding hands, hanging out, etc.

you can only get in trouble if they can prove that yous have been doing sexual activities, but I was 15 and my boyfriend was 23 when we first got together and we are still together 3 years later but the age of consent here is 16 but we still could of got in trouble for a while there. I don't know what the law is there but here, if the minor's parents have no problems what so ever with the relationship then no-one can stop yous from doing anything yous want. You should probably ring some kind of legal advice line (anonymously if u like) and then you will know exactly where you stand. hope I helped!

u can date anyone you want to. Now SEX is a different matter. Legally you are an adult and she is still a minor. Under the law, minors cannot legally give consent to have sex. Therefor, if you have sex, you are commiting sexual assault(or what they refer to as statuatory rape).
Even though it is not a crime of force, it is still punishable under the law if her parents found out and they file charges on you.

I guess it's ok to date a minor as long as you don't do any sexual acts on her. It's legal to go to movies with her or even go out to eat. You just ask permission first to the minor's parents to see if it's ok to date. It all depends on the person. Just don't do sex!

and can i just say... why dont' any guys my age 17-19 year olds like 17-19 year olds!!! Why do you guys always go for our little sisters....for our younger cousins..for the freshman and sophomores!!! jeeze.

I don't think that going to the movies is against the law, but you could always ask a cop and see what s/he thinks!

with the government, yes it is wrong. although you dont have to tell a soul. look at lindsey lohan and wilmer V. they dated even when she wasnt legal, and he waited for her until she became legal to come out with their relationship. if you truely love her then you'll be willing to wait until she is legal to announce your guyses relationship.
