ignorance. The media in the US is so weak that many people here have no idea about cultures or other religion.

I wish the young generation would travel the world and learn about cultures, and then they would realize that the majority of muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, all live amongst each other without any issues. The few bad apples give everyone else a bad name.

Once again, it is pure ignorance and I am sure some of the ignorant ones will post "supposedly funny" insults heaped on those who are different than they are.

Because mostly Americans are sheltered idiots that purposefully keep them selves ignorant of the rest of the world.

Just because America is good doesn't mean the rest of the world is worse.

I personally think women in a hijab is beautiful....
If more people actually tried to learn about other cultures instead of getting their cultural education from fox news or other American media they wouldn't think such things...

Hi there, unfortunately those who think that way are uneducated people who don't know what is the reason you cover your head. This is a religion question and I know exactly why they cover their head. It's a choice you make because once you decide to become muhajab you can not take it off.
Covering head for Muslim woman is paying respect to God (Allah), which has nothing to do with terrorists. I feel sorry for those who don't take time to read and learn about other religions and cultures.

Because in our culture, a person only covers his/her face when he/she has something to hide.
When they choose to live in an open and free society like ours, they should accept the consequences and adopt this society's way of dress. That does not mean that they have to parade at the beach in a bikini, because even in western dress and without a hijab a woman can radiate purity and chastity.

I see it as a sign of oppression. Women are willing becoming second class citizens. The terrorists push for Sharia Law which would require women to wear them. And much more.

It seems medieval to me. Are we not beyond this? Faith is one thing. But does anyone honestly believe God (Allah) wants them to wear them? Or have a beard?

God is the supreme being. I am sure he is beyond such petty things.

a woman doesnt have to wear a hijab to be a terrorist she could be the preacher of the local asembly of god church ready to blow all the worshipers to the heavens no one knows who the real terrorist's are, I could even be one muahahahahahaha, J/K =)
